As most of you know i purchased a new hewes redfisher 18 a few weeks ago, i have slowly been adding my own touch to the vessel like i normally do. one of the minute things i like to do is wrap the. The steering wheel on my boat is awfully faded, and i'm curious to know if any of you tin-boaters have used krylon fusion for plastic spray paint on your boats' steering wheels. my wheel was black, but now its a dark mottled chalky grey, and i don't want to go to the expense of replacing it.. I used vinyl paint (for automotive applications) before, it flexes well, especially on horn buttons on newer steering wheels. but to be honest, even krylon or somthing equivilant works well too, it doesn't cure/dry brittle hard like you might think it would. if your steering wheel has no soft pliable parts then i would use a good durable enamel..
